At Canberra Dental Care we offer a number of payment methods to make life easy for you
Cash
EFTPOS and Credit Cards
We accept all EFTPOS cards as well as Visa and Mastercard. Unfortunately we are unable to accept American Express or Diners.
HICAPS
We are able to process your health fund refund for you from most health funds. This makes it easier for you and you only need to pay the gap payment. In order for us to claim against your health fund directly you do need to bring the card with you. We cannot process the claim at a later date so if you do not have your card with you, full payment is required. You are then able to claim against your health fund using your receipt.
Veterans’ Affairs
For those that are eligible to claim thought Veterans’ Affairs we are able to process the claim for you. Please make sure you bring your Veterans’ Affairs card with you. It is also helpful to mention when you make your first appointment that you are a Veterans’ Affairs patient. Information about Veterans’ Affairs is available on their website at www.dva.gov.au
Child Dental Benefit Scheme (CDBS)
This is a scheme run by Medicare for eligible children between the ages of two and 17. To find out if your child is eligible please visit Medicare.
Before you make your appointment please check with Medicare (via the mygov website) that you are entitled to the benefit for that date. Medicare entitlements re-set and will not be payable if there has been a claim within a certain period of time. If treatment has been provided and Medicare does not pay, you will have to cover the cost yourself.
When you make your appointment please tell our reception staff that you are a CDBS patient.
Please bring your Medicare card to the appointment. Without the card, we are unable to process the claim. You will be required to pay the full account and claim directly from Medicare.
United Concordia
If you are in Australia on an American diplomatic or military mission and are insured through the United Concordia system we can process your claim. We have a well established relationship with United Concordia and are their preferred provider in Canberra. This means we are understand the initial approval and claim process. Make sure to mention you are an United Concordia patient when you make your appointment. For more information please visit their website
