Recycling Achievement

At Canberra Dental Care we are committed to the environment.

We are acutely aware that in order to comply with our rigorously high standard of hygiene we generate a lot of waste. So when we found out that we could be part of a program that recycled some of that dental waste, we were excited!

Since 2017 we have been part of the Terracycle oral waste recycling program. 2020 has brought with it new challenges in helping the environment. While we are using more personal protection equipment it doesn’t mean that we can stop recycling things like toothpaste tubes and brushes.

This month we reached a milestone. We have sent 600 pieces of oral waste to be recycling, and we think that is something to shout about.

We are a registered drop off centre for oral waste. If you would like to be part of this program please check out what can be recycled. You don’t need an appointment to drop off your recycling but we do ask that you follow our COVID requirements in terms of your health.
