Happy Easter 2020
This is certainly an Easter to remember (or to try and forget).
We know there is a lot of uncertainly at the moment but that doesn’t mean we can’t take a moment (or longer) to come together to celebrate Easter. This might be a different type of celebration this year.
We are particularly excited about an idea the New Zealand Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, came up with. Rather than doing a traditional Easter hunt why not colour in the attached easter-egg-hunt and post it in your window. The ACT Education Minister Yvette Berry has adapted it for the ACT, so if you want you can send it in to her as well.
Dr Jowitt (Dentist) and Dr Muir (Dentist) are definitely going to be having an Easter egg or two. There is nothing wrong with having a treat, it’s what we do afterwards that’t the important part. Remember to wait at least 30 minutes before brushing and flossing your teeth.
The reason to wait is that you don’t want to be scrubbing the sugar into your teeth. Give your saliva time to wash away the majority of the food before you give your teeth a brush.
At the moment our hygiene department is closed. This means we are not able to help with your routine dental care. So we need you to be extra vigilant with your oral hygiene. We have done a number of posts in the past about brushing, flossing and general oral health which you can review if you are unsure what to do.
At the moment we are only open on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are also only able to do emergency procedures. Our on line booking system is available 24/7 so you can make an appointment when you need rather than waiting for reception to be open.
We know what an emergency is can be different for different people. So if you want to check if your issue is an emergency give us a call (on Tuesday or Thursday) or use the contact box.
Stay healthy and wash your hands!!!
