COVID-19 Update
Following the advice from the Australian Dental Association (ADA) and the ACT Department of Health we are required to suspend all non-essential treatment during this crisis. What this means is that we have closed our hygiene department as of this week. These procedures are non-essential and we believe it is unethical to continue to provide these services. We are contacting all patients with existing appointments to reschedule these to a later date.
What we are still able to offer is the essential service by Dr Jowitt or Dr Muir. If you have an existing appointment with our dentists and want to find out how you are affected by the suspension of some services, please contact us during our reduced business hours (see below)
When you attend for your appointment you will notice some changes. In addition to our usual high standard of hygiene and sterilisation we have added more to our regime. We ask that, unless required, you attend alone and that you sterilise your hands. We will provide you with a mouthwash prior to your treatment. And while we are pleased to see you, we won’t be shaking your hand or coming too close.
As this is an evolving situation we will update when further information comes to hand.
We remind you that if you have any of symptoms such as a fever, sore throat, breathlessness, cough or fatigue please contact us to reschedule your appointment. This also includes if you have been in contact with a suspected case of COVID-19. It is vital that we stop the spread and ask you to take your part in this seriously.
Commencing 30 March 2020 we will be operating at a reduced opening schedule. Dr Jowitt and Dr Muir will be available to see patients on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.
You are still able to make booking via our on line service. Please tell us the nature of the problem in the relevant field. That way we can ensure we are able to provide you with the appropriate treatment.
Thank you to all our valuable patients for their understanding through this difficult and uncertain time. Our thoughts are will you and your family. Please stay healthy and WASH YOUR HANDS!
